Consistent with state and federal privacy laws, and as a condition of treatment, audio or video recordings are not permitted inside Retina Institute of Virginia facilities. Should anyone be observed recording or taking photographs with a cellphone or other device, the individual will be asked to immediately erase the audio, video, or photograph to protect the privacy of other patients and RIV associates.

Due to increased risk of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) within the United States, patients who are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, have recently traveled to high risk areas or out of the state, or have come in contact with someone who has recently traveled to high risk areas will need to reschedule their upcoming appointment.

Our offices are open on a daily basis to continue care and urgent treatment for our patients.  In order to minimize risk to patients and staff, we are rescheduling non-urgent appointments and will be calling patients who need to reschedule.

Upon arrival, patients will be asked the following:
1)Are you experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19?
a) Fever
b) Cough (to include allergy related cough)
c) Shortness of breath
2) Are you currently experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms?
3) Have you recently traveled out of the state or to an area at high risk for COVID-19?
4) Have you recently had contact with a known COVID-19 patient?

If the answer to any of those questions is YES, please call our office at
(804) 644-7478
to speak with a team member to reschedule your upcoming appointment.

In order to minimize the number of people in our office, non-patient guests are not allowed into the office at this time.  We ask that they remain outside (in car, etc.).

Please contact our office with any questions or concerns.
